Telegram Introduced Video Call Feature In the 7th Anniversary

Telegram is very popular especially amongst the youth because of the tons of features available on it. Telegram is introducing end-to-end encrypted video calls on its platform as the chat app completes seven years.

Telegram had previously launched Beta for iOS users with Video Calling and now even for Android Beta users, the feature has been teased. All video calls will be encrypted on the app to protect users' data.

You can start a video call from your contact's profile page, and switch video on or off at any time during voice calls. Like all other video content on Telegram, video calls support picture-in-picture mode, allowing you to scroll through chats and multitask while maintaining eye contact.

“All video calls are protected with end-to-end encryption. To confirm your connection, compare the four emoji shown on-screen for you and your chat partner – if they match, your call is 100% secured by time-tested encryption also used in Telegram’s Secret Chats and Voice Calls,” Telegram said in a statement.

Video Call is enabled on Telegram Beta 7.0 for iOS

• While on the voice call, tap camera button to switch video call.

• Tap ‘Video Call’ button on the user profile.

• Tap and hold the call event if you want to report CallStats log.
