Xiaomi today launched its Redmi 9 Prime smartphone
The Xiaomi Redmi 9 Prime comes with the MediaTek Helio G80 octa-core CPU and a Mali-G52 MC2 GPU. The chipset incorporates two Cortex-A75 cores and six Cortex-A55 cores. The smartphone has a 6.53-inch full HD+ display with Corning Gorilla Glass layered on top. It runs on MediaTek’s Helio G80 chipset paired with ARM Mali-G52 GPU for graphics. Redmi 9 Prime comes with P2i coating for splash resistance.
The quad rear-camera system
includes a 13MP (f/2.2) primary camera, an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide camera with a
118-degree FOV, a 5MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor.
Redmi 9 Prime packs a 5,020mAh
battery with support for up to 18W fast charging. The phone’s claimed to last
for two days on a single charge.
Elsewhere, you get support for NFC,
a 3.5mm headphone jack, wireless FM radio, IR blaster, dual SIM slots, as well
as a USB-C port. There’s also a fingerprint sensor at the back of the phone,
just under the camera array.
